The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun (FUHSI) hereby informs all students that the University has commenced the onboarding and activation of student accounts on the TETFund-supported Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS).

This development follows the successful completion of preparatory activities and marks a significant step in the University’s adoption of digital platforms to support teaching, learning, and academic engagement.

Purpose of the Blackboard LMS

The Blackboard LMS will serve as the University’s official platform for:

  • Access to course materials and lecture notes
  • Online learning and engagement
  • Assignments and assessments
  • Academic communication between lecturers and students

All students are therefore required to activate their accounts and familiarize themselves with the platform.

Steps for Students

  1. Visit the Blackboard LMS link provided above.
  2. Log in using your matriculation number (without slashes) as the username.
  3. Enter the default password.
  4. Confirm your personal details and explore the platform.
  5. Watch out for course enrolments and further instructions from your lecturers.

Important Notes

  • Students are advised to log in promptly to ensure readiness for academic activities conducted via the LMS.
  • Course access will depend on lecturer-to-course mapping currently being finalized by the University.
  • Further announcements on training guides, support, and full deployment will be communicated in due course.
